Who we are and why we exist

An Australian not-for-profit building stronger, more capable communities through education, skills development and employment support.

Our Vision

Stronger communities built on education, opportunity and belonging.

Our Mission

Asset Community works with individuals, employers and community organisations across Australia to create pathways out of disadvantage. We combine employment services, access to accredited training through partner registered training organisations, and community research to support lasting participation in work and learning.

Professional rigour meets genuine community commitment

Asset Community Limited is an Australian not-for-profit organisation established as a public company limited by guarantee. We combine professional rigour with genuine community commitment, so that every program and partnership we pursue creates real, lasting impact.

Our work spans the full spectrum of community need. We support job seekers and people facing unemployment, individuals from disadvantaged and marginalised backgrounds, and the broader community seeking skills, knowledge and connection.

Each participant has one point of contact who helps them plan, train, prepare for work and settle into a new job. With their consent, we keep referring caseworkers and community organisations updated on their progress.

Accredited training is delivered by our partner registered training organisations (RTOs). Our current partner is Asset College (RTO 31718) (opens in a new tab).

The challenge we're addressing

Complex Barriers

Across Australia, too many people face barriers to education, employment and economic participation. These barriers rarely exist in isolation. They intersect across circumstance, geography, confidence and access.

Meeting People Where They Are

Asset Community exists to meet people where they are, and to provide the pathways, skills and support needed to move forward. We are not a one-size-fits-all solution, but a genuine partner.

Evidence-Informed Practice

Our programs are evidence-informed, responsive to local and individual need, and built on genuine collaboration with employers, educators, government agencies and community organisations.

How we work

01

Alongside communities

We work alongside the communities we serve rather than simply for them, so our programs stay genuinely responsive to the people they're designed to support.

02

Connecting training to outcomes

By connecting training directly to employment outcomes, we make sure learning leads to real opportunity, not just qualifications that sit on paper.

03

Research informs practice

Research feeds directly back into what we do, keeping our work relevant, effective and accountable to the communities and funders who place their trust in us.

04

Genuine collaboration

We build partnerships with employers, educators, government agencies and community organisations, because lasting change requires a collective effort.
